Fares & Passes


The LakeXpress bus fare is $1 for a one-way trip, with half price fares available for the following qualifying individuals:

  • Seniors 60 years or older (must present a valid ID card upon boarding).
  • Medicare cardholders.
  • Individuals who receive Supplemental Security Income (SSI) based on disability, or Social Security Disability (SSD) benefits, as long as they continue to receive these benefits.
  • Veterans with valid DD214 card.
  • Individuals with a disability (buses are equipped with lifts).
  • *Riders must show proof of eligibility upon boarding a bus. Government issued ID card, Valid agency ID, Medicare card (Red, White and Blue card, not Medicaid Gold Card), or passport.

The following individuals ride free:

  • Students with a valid school ID or proof of enrollment.
  • Children under 5 years of age ride for free but must be accompanied by a fare-paying chaperone.


LakeXpress offers a variety of bus passes that provide significant savings to repeat riders. (All passes are half priced for qualifying individuals.)

Notice: All LakeXpress bus pass purchases are final and non-refundable. Passes cannot be transferred. Copying or other reproduction of LakeXpress passes is prohibited. A valid identification is required for all discount fares. Driver will punch the pass at the time of first use. Date punched reflects expiration date.

Online bus pass purchases will be processed and mailed via USPS within two business days. If passes are needed within 5-7 business days, please visit one of the designated locations throughout the county.
